26 March 2015:    March has arrived and so (hopefully), Springtime! March's lady is Leslie Mann wearing an elegant Kelly headscarf in a scene from the movie The Other Woman. It's a brief scene but very nice. There are 32 pictures in the Videocaptures section.
 

24 February 2015:    February's lady hails from the cast of Mad Men: Christina Hendricks wears a Kelly headscarf in a scene from the episode Shut the Door, have a Seat. Due to a continuity error, Christina's wrap alternates between a closed Kelly (tail end tucked in) to an open Kelly (tail end out) and from tight to a little loose. I wonder if they bought the scarf from Winona Ryder's self-rewrapping scarf shop! Anyway, there are 24 pictures of her in the Videocaptures section.
 

27 January 2015:    Happy New Year again! This year's first lady is Mary Ure, wearing a Classic wrap in two scenes from the movie Look Back in Anger, the first with the ends tucked in and the others with them loose. There are 40 pictures in the Videocaptures section.
 

20 December 2014:    Another year has gone by, and although the site is still offline I'll keep updating it. December's lady is Elisabeth Moss, wearing a Classic headscarf in a brief but nice scene from the show that started the whole '60s period craze, Mad Men. The episode is The Color Blue and we have 21 pictures of Elisabeth in her elegant Classic in the Videocaptures section. Happy 2015 to everyone!

15 October 2014:    Although the site is not online yet, here is October's update hoping it will see the light soon... 30 September 2014:    Here's September update, just in the nick of time because of a hosting outage. September's lady is Cherie Lunghi wearing a Classic headscarf from the Tales of the Unexpected episode Death in the Morning. There are 36 pictures of her in the Videocaptures section.
 

24 August 2014:    August's update comes late again, and this time it's been mostly because of the server problems that almost caused another server move. Anyway I'm back to Zymic and I hope with all fingers crossed that the site is here to stay! As for August's lady, meet Sarah Miles from the movie The Sailor Who Fell from Grace with the Sea, wearing a Classic and a Rear Tie, both in a very elegant way. 22 July 2014:    July's update is here, and with it another server move. Unfortunately I have run out of space on Zymic, so I moved to another hosting - it's almost becoming a habit. 29 May 2014:    Real Life has a very nasty habit of doing its very best to delay updates on this site very badly, and even worse on my all-too-neglected blog. 25 March 2014:    The March update is very very late but at last it's here and this month's lady is again Anna Friel from an episode of Pushing Daisies! Oh how I wish this series could have gone on for more than two seasons!
 

17 February 2014:    Time for the monthly update. February's lady is Hayley Atwell, wearing a Classic headscarf in two scenes from the TV miniseries "Restless". 23 December 2013:    Once again I couldn't update the site as early as I wanted, and my blog has been sadly neglected. Anyway, the last lady for 2013 is Emmy Rossum wearing an elegant Kelly wrap while driving a convertible (of course) from the movie Beautiful Creatures. 20 November 2013:    Real life issues strike again... But here is November's update with Italian comedian and actress Paola Cortellesi wearing an elegant loose Classic headscarf from the movie C'è Chi Dice No. There are 16 pictures of her in the Videocaptures section. Also, Gudrun Landgrebe's entry has been changed to "Unknown movie/TV series" because now I'm positive her scene in a Kelly headscarf was not from Die Kaltenbach Papiere. Sorry if I sent any of you on a wild chase. I'll try to find out which production it was from but it's going to be difficult because there was only that short scene and the original tape has long been lost.

18 June 2013:     Another month, another actress taking home the Scarf Lady award. This time it's Penelope Cruz's turn, with a Kelly wrap from the movie Manolete, which also means she gets the award for wearing three different styles in three different movies (Peasant in Captain Corelli's Mandolin, Classic in Volver and Kelly here). 6 May 2013:    May sees Vanessa Lengies becoming the youngest Scarf Lady ever, the third (after Diana Rigg and Anna Friel) to earn the title for three headscarf scenes in the same TV series. 12 March 2013:    March has arrived and with it, another move! It looks like after some 8 years, funpic.de went dead on me, so I had to relocate the site on Zymic. 27 April 2012:     April's update took a long time to appear, due to some RL duties I couldn't postpone. This month's lady is Halle Berry, from the TV movie Introducing Dorothy Dandridge. 18 March 2012:    There's a big update this month. After a long, long time the Scans section is updated with 28 new images. The Webfinds section gains 3 new galleries and 48 new images, including the Ashley Greene photoshoot by Tyler Shields and the D&G runway pictures for their Fall-Winter 2008-2009 collection. The Videocaptures section gets an update as well, with 66 pictures of actress Emma Stone wearing a couple of very nice Classic headscarves from the movie The Help. Enjoy!
 

18 February 2012:    More Kelly goodness this month, as February's lady is Kate Hudson, wearing a very nice one in the movie Bride Wars. 9 July 2011:    July brings more Classic goodness with actress Phoebe Cates wearing a Classic wrap in a scene from the TV series Lace 2. There are 78 pictures of her in Videocaptures. Also, due to inactivity the forum has been shut down and has therefore been removed from the links. The alternate site at Funpic.org is still experiencing difficulties and I cannot update it. I hope it will be sorted out one of these days.

3 December 2010:    Last update of the year. Besides 56 pictures of actress Sophie Hunter wearing an open Kelly in the Torchwood episode Children of Earth part 4, the Links section gets a much-needed rehaul. The Scarf Fashion Site is, alas, gone for good and so are the Scarf Scans Gallery Pages. Some links needed to be corrected as well. However, there's a great brand new entry with the Silk Scarf Lovers website, dedicated to scarf-wearing women and to every style. Have a Merry Christmas and see you in 2011!
 

3 November 2010:    November has come and with it the new updates. First of all, Demi Moore is now a Scarf Lady with her third movie featuring a headscarf scenes. In We're No Angels she wears both a Peasant and a Classic tie, which can be seen in the Videocaptures section with 105 pictures.
We also finally have an update of the Webfinds section with 2 new pages for a total of 32 new pictures. Enjoy!
 

6 October 2010:    October's update is here with 45 pictures of Demi Moore wearing a Kelly scarf from the movie Flawless. One more movie with a scene in it and Demi gets the Scarf Lady award! They're in Videocaptures, of course. I can't wait to update the Webfinds and especially the Scans section, which I should be able to do soon.
 

9 September 2010:    With the technical blues now safely behind us, it's time to celebrate this site's 10th anniversary! It was on the 9th of September 2000 that it was officially open for the first time, I cannot believe a whole decade has passed by. Actually, with all the issues and hosting switches that have happened, I'm amazed it's still there. Anyway, to celebrate the anniversary we have a mammoth update, with 660 pictures of actress Alika Del Sol from the movie Le Porteur de Cartable. Alika wears some nice rear ties and classic wraps. Enjoy!
 

14 August 2010:     Due to technical issues on the host's part, the site has been online for the best part of two weeks. It's now fully functional and I hope it will stay this way! With the host's update, the difficulties in reaching the site should be a thing of the past. Anyway, the site is now hosted at http://rodan657.ro.funpic.org too!
I don't know how many of you follow my blog, but I have now a Twitter account as well, which will make easier to follow things around.

15 June 2010:     The monthly update is again late. Unfortunately I had a lot of things to attend to, but one of these at least was preparing some new material! So, here is the new update featuring acress Brooke Adams from the TV miniseries Lace, wearing a Kelly wrap. Only 25 pictures of her in Videocaptures, but it's a very nice tie.
 

12 May 2010:     The May update was a bit long coming, but at least it's here and I personally think it's great. May's lady is the lovely Ashley Greene, wearing a Kelly/Classic mix headscarf in the movie New Moon. Her wrap is unusual but very, very glamorous with a nice knot under the chin and the ends tied again at the back of her head. There are 130 pictures of her in the Videocaptures section.
 

6 April 2010:     New month and new update. April's lady is Elke Sommer from the movie A Shot in the Dark. She wears a nice Classic over her period hairdo, and there are 100 pictures of her in the Videocaptures section.
 

3 March 2010:    Spring is coming fast and again I couldn't do any mid-month updates. Anyway, we have at least a new lady in Videocaptures: Isla Fisher from Confessions of a Shopaholic, wearing a nice rear-tie. Only 30 pictures of her because the scene is brief, but it's a nice wrap.
 

12 February 2010:    Due to a busy real-life schedule I haven't been able to do any mid-month updates. So here is February and our lady is French actress Catherine Deneuve, wearing a peasant and a Classic headscarf in the movie Dancer in the Dark. Given the length of Deneuve's career I bet she'll turn out a Scarf Lady in very little time! There are 115 pictures of her in the Videocaptures section.

12 December 2009:    Another year has gone by! I hope the new features (the forum and the blog) have been well received! 22 November 2009:    Our mid-month update features again the lovely Alyson Michalka from the Phil of the Future episode Halloween. Alyson wears a cute rear tie, and there are 290 pictures of her on Videocaptures. Unfortunately, it's also Alyson's last headscarf scene in the series. Too bad, because another one would have made her the third actress so far to win the Scarf Lady award for three scenes in the same series.
 

6 November 2009:    The new month brings some news. We've had the new forum for some months now, and I decided to try and add a blog. Why? To host random stuff that would otherwise have no place in the site. I had thought up the Various section to cover this as well, but as it is it's good mainly for the occasional feature article and not for news and opinions that are best served in a blog. Have patience with me, because I'm not an expert on blogging just as I'm not an expert in forum management or even webmaster tasks!
Of course, there are the monthly pictures as well: 175 pictures of Kyra Sedgwick from the movie Secondhand Lions in Videocaptures. She wears a Classic headscarf.

21 September 2009:    Almost an end-month update but here it is, as we get 49 pictures of Faye Dunaway from The Thomas Crown Affair. Faye wears a classic and a peasant headscarf in this movie, and is one scene closer to Scarf Lady status. Given her career, it won't take long.

3 July 2009:    Once again, due to real life inconveniences, I had to skip any mid-month updates for June. July begins with 60 pictures of Diane Keene wearing a peasant headscarf from The Professionals episode Killer with a long arm. It's interesting to see that Diane Keen is the third actress from this series to be featured here, the other two wearing a Classic and a Kelly scarf respectively. The collection is now complete!

28 May 2009:    More than a mid-month update this is an end-month update and a small one (only 10 pictures), but nice anyway. Anna Friel's pretty head is wrapped again in the Pushing Daisies episode Corpsicle. This is a very loose wrap but elegant as always.
 

3 May 2009:    I haven't been able to do any mid-month updates during April but couldn't miss celebrating May with a new lady and new pictures: in Videocaptures we have 190 pictures of June Harding wearing three Classic wraps from the movie The Trouble with Angels. The film also stars Hayley Mills whose pretty head is however uncovered this time.

18 December 2008:    Last update for 2008, again from the TV movie Un Maresciallo in Gondola. This time the scarved lady is Victoria Silvstedt in a nice Kelly as befitting her diva character. There are 100 pictures of her in Videocaptures. See you in 2009!
 

3 December 2008:    Sorry for not doing any mid-month updates in November but unfortunately I got somewhat busy. However, December brings us a new Italian beauty as Deborah Caprioglio, from the TV movie Un Maresciallo in Gondola, enters the Videocaptures section with 336 pictures. Deborah wears a plain black but very nice Classic wrap.
 

4 November 2008:    More peasant-style goodness in Videocaptures this month with 216 pictures of Rachel Bilson from The O.C. episode The Escape. Rachel's small and colourful scarf is typical young girl's fare, but it's really a nice wrap.
 

20 October 2008:     A new entry in Videocaptures as Bryce Dallas Howard in the film Manderlay takes over Nicole Kidman's role from Dogville, and her headscarf too. In the 318 new pictures she wears a peasant headscarf, nothing really glamorous or special but it's a nice beginning. Bryce, wrap some twill silk around your pretty head!
 

3 October 2008:    The new month begins with another Classic-wearing beauty, Italian actress Adriana Russo from the movie Giggi il Bullo. The movie can be safely ignored and Adriana's scenes are its only point of interest. Here are 280 pictures of her, in Videocaptures.
 

18 September 2008:    Little mid-month update, with 16 pictures of Juliette Lewis from the movie That Night in Videocaptures. Juliette wears a couple of Classic headscarves but unfortunately there aren't any close-ups.
 

3 September 2008: There have been no more updates for August but, hey, I've got to go on holidays too and you had pretty Larisa to keep you company! Anyway, the first update of September consists of 140 pictures of Leelee Sobieski from the TV miniseries Uprising. Leelee has three scenes, and she wears a Classic in all three. Not the most glamorous wraps, granted, but they're nice enough.
 

6 August 2008:    August brings a new entry in our Videocaptures section. Say welcome to young Larisa Oleynik, wearing several rear-tied headscarves in the movie A Time for Dancing. There are 100 pictures of her for you to enjoy.
 

24 July 2008:    Nicole Kidman joins the headscarved ladies with 184 pictures from the movie Dogville. Her peasant wrap is nothing to write home about, really, and Nicole deserves far better, but it's a start. Get some nice silk around your head, Nicole!
 

6 July 2008:    The new month begins with another entry from the miniseries L'Onore e il Rispetto. This time it's actress Serena Autieri, wearing an elegant Kelly wrap. There are 66 pictures of her in the Videocaptures section.
 

25 June 2008:    New update and new entry in Videocaptures with 60 pictures of young Italian actress Cosima Coppola wearing a Classic headscarf from the TV miniseries L'Onore e il Rispetto. It's a plain black scarf but it's nicely tied and it's Cosima's first role, there's plenty of time to improve...
 

12 June 2008:    Faye Dunaway enters the Videocaptures section with 147 pictures of her wearing a Classic from the movie The Champ.
 

3 June 2008:    We begin June with 400 new pictures of Lee Grant from the Columbo episode Ransom for a Dead Man. I'm not very sure about the wrap, but it appears to be a Kelly version. Anyway, it's fabulous.
 

21 May 2008:     A long overdue update in Videocaptures, with 81 pictures of Julia Louis-Dreyfus wearing a Classic from the Seinfeld episode The Andrea Doria. It's a bit of a shame she only had two headscarf scenes in the whole run of the show, because apart from getting the Scarf Lady award she could have been one of those actresses (along with Dame Diana Rigg and Anna Friel) to win it for three scenes in the same series.
 

6 May 2008:    New update in Videocaptures, with 150 images of actress Carol Royle from The Professionals episode A Stirring of Dust. Thanks again to Sarahjayne for telling me about it. Carol wears a Kelly for the whole episode, her pretty head staying nicely wrapped even through a kidnapping attempt!
 

23 April 2008:     It took one year but we finally have an update for the Webfinds section with 16 new images. Among the headscarf-wearing celebrities we have Ashley Olsen with a Classic, Jennifer Tilly and Julianna Margulies with Kelly wraps, and Lindsay Lohan and Shannen Doherty in Rear Ties.
 

17 April 2008:    Catherine Bell gets her second entry in the Videocaptures section with 176 pictures from the JAG episode The Black Jet. Catherine wears a Classic and then a Kelly-like wrap.
 

9 April 2008:    April opens with 128 pictures of Italian actress Anna Galiena wearing a Classic from the TV miniseries Senza Via d'Uscita - Un Amore Spezzato. Anna wears her scarf and sunglasses as "classy disguise" even though it would be difficult not to notice her! Her headscarf is just fabulous and flawlessly tied.
 

30 March 2008:    A very small update this time, 16 pictures of French actress Claudine Auger wearing a Classic headscarf from the film Flic Story.
 

14 March 2008:    Time for a mid-month update, with 35 pictures of Kristin Scott Thomas wearing a Classic headscarf from the movie Gosford Park.
 

5 March 2008:    The first update of March sees 150 new pictures of Annette Bening from Running with Scissors in the Videocaptures section. Annette is already a Scarf Lady, but this doesn't stop her to keep her head well wrapped! A rear tie and a classic for Annette in this movie.
 

24 February 2008:    With a third entry, Anna Friel is 2008's first Scarf Lady and becomes the 2nd actress after Dame Diana Rigg to win the award for three scenes in the same TV series. Not only that, but she wins it for wearing a headscarf in three consecutive episodes and in three different styles! Her 120 new pictures are of Anna wearing an off-center tied Classic and again, we have a case of a self-rewrapping headscarf: check the images and you'll see that her scarf is tied differently through the same scene, with even ends and pulled back to leave her earring exposed before, with one end longer than the other and with both her ears covered afterwards. Anyway, beautiful scenes!
 

15 February 2008:    Anna Friel makes it into the Videocaptures section with 150 pictures from the second episode of Pushing Daisies. This time Anna wears a beautifully tied Kelly wrap. Her scenes have a shade of Winona's self-rewrapping headscarf from Great Balls of Fire, too: if you check the scenes in the car against the scenes later at the morgue (with her wearing the coat) you'll see that her scarf is tied the other way round and differently. Of course she might have re-tied it on the way...
 

3 February 2008:    February begins with 100 pictures of Anna Friel from the first episode of the TV series Pushing Daisies. Anna wears a Kelly variation with the ends wrapped around the throat and then brought again forward.
 

24 January 2008:    Another little update, with 20 pictures of an unknown actress wearing a Classic, from the film Razzia sur la Chnouf. But we also have news on the Links page: check out Foulard55's Flickr and YouTube sites to find some great pictures and videoclips.
 

15 January 2008:    A little update but a good one, with 32 pictures of Louise Jameson from The Pale Horse in Videocaptures. Louise wears a nice Kelly.
 

3 January 2008:    Happy New Year 2008 everyone! We begin the year with 85 pictures of Jayne Asbourne from the 1997 TV movie The Pale Horse. Jayne wears a Kelly headscarf at the end of the movie, and she doesn't take it off even in the middle of a party. That's dedication!
 

3 December 2007:    Comes December and we have new videocaptures, 165 pictures of Sophie Marceau from the movie Pour Sacha. She wears a nice Peasant scarf.
 

21 November 2007:    More news in the Videocaptures section, with 120 pictures of Marisa Allasio from the Italian comedy Carmela è una Bambola. Marisa wears a white Kelly headscarf, with hat and glasses.
 

3 November 2007:    November begins with more Classic goodness. We have 95 pictures of Helga Liné from the Italian giallo, Mio Caro Assassino, in the Videocaptures section.
 

23 October 2007:    After all the rear-tied goodness we're back with some Classic and Kelly wraps around the pretty head of Spanish beauty Victoria Abril. There are 124 pictures of her from the film Amantes in the Videocaptures section.
 

6 October 2007:    New month, new update with more rear-tied goodness. This time our headscarved beauty is Rachel McAdams, from the movie Wedding Crashers. There are 180 pictures of her in Videocaptures for you to enjoy.
 

23 September 2007:    Starting today, I'm beginning to renew the site a little. I have removed the ICQ panel because it wasn't working very well anyway, and I've finally made the pictures for the site's sections the same size (the old "Scans" pictures was smaller). The site's description has also changed slightly, and I have made some new backdrops for the main, history and videocaptures page as an experiment.
I intend to make more changes to the site's look which has remained more or less the same for seven years but I'll do it one small part at a time.
Of course we also have new pictures: with 248 images from The Moon-Spinners Hayley Mills is our new Scarf Lady. This is, as far as I know, her first headscarf scene, and Hayley has managed to get her award by wearing all three main styles (Rear Tie in The Moon-Spinners, Classic in That Darn Cat and Kelly in Endless Night).
Hayley's scarf is cute but not high on the glamour scale, so we have 105 pictures of Joan Greenwood (who plays her aunt in the movie) wearing a perfectly tied and elegant Peasant headscarf. Her scene is way shorter but memorable.

9 September 2007:    Today this site celebrates its 7^th birthday! To celebrate this occurrence I have finally managed to post something very close to my heart, the videocaptures from an episode of the old Australian series The Lost Islands I used to watch long ago.
In the episode The Birdman of Tambu young actress Jane Vallis wore a very pretty rear-tie headscarf for practically the whole episode. Except for a couple of very brief scenes where her hair is uncovered, she's always nicely wrapped. Those are, for me, some of the first truly memorable headscarf scenes ever, and here are 432 images so that you can all enjoy them!
 

12 August 2007:    New month and new Videocaptures update, a big one since I'll be away until the end of the month. August's lady is Anna Sten from the movie We Live Again (based on Tolstoj's Resurrection): Anna is simply strikingly beautiful, wearing a Peasant at the very beginning and then a Classic throughout most of it, including a nice forward-pulled variant. There are 544 pictures of her, so see for yourselves!
 

31 July 2007:    End of the month update, with 116 pictures of Katherine Heigl from the Roswell episode How the Other Half Lives. Pretty alien princess Katherine wears a Peasant headscarf for the whole duration of the episode, although unfortunately she doesn't have all the air time she would deserve!
 

22 July 2007:    We have 204 new images of Kati Outinen from the movie Juha in Videocaptures. Kati wears a Peasant headscarf and, later, a more fashionable Classic.
 

12 July 2007:    Mid-July update, and we have 50 pictures of actress Prim Cotton from The Professionals episode Blood Sports. In this brief scene she wears a nice Classic headscarf. Thanks to Sarahjayne for finding it and telling me about it!
 

1 July 2007:    July begins with some new things. We have the usual Videocaptures update with 345 images of Lindsay Lohan from the movie Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. Lindsay wears a hippy-like gypsy headscarf and, later, a Kelly headscarf.
In the Various section we have a new entry too, with a brief article on headscarves features in music videos. It's not complete by any means, but it shows some truly memorable scenes.
 

18 June 2007:     Another mid-month update, again for the beautiful Dame Diana Rigg, with 108 pictures of her from The Avengers episode Silent Dust. With her third headscarf scene, she gains a well-deserved Scarf Lady award. Diana Rigg is also the first actress to earn her Scarf Lady status thanks to three headscarf scenes from the same TV series!
 

9 June 2007:     Second entry for beautiful spy Diana Rigg, with 100 new pictures of her nice Kelly wrap from The Avengers episode A Sense of History. Ms Rigg steps closer to the Scarf Lady award! There's also a new link on the Links page, about Owen's blog Silk Reveries, a must for all scarf fans.
 

3 June 2007:    Young and pretty Anne Hathaway joins the headscarved actresses club with a nice peasant scarf from The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement. There are 42 pictures of her in the Videocaptures section, and I think I'm not the only one who'd love for her to join the Scarf Lady club too! With her delicated features she would look too good in a Kelly.
 

21 May 2007:    A new entry in Videocaptures, with 228 pictures of Shirley Anne Field from The War Lover. She wears a nice classic, with both a wearing and taking off scene.
 

13 May 2007:    A little but necessary update to the Videocaptures section: Cate Blanchett's Kelly headscarf scene from Bandits has 84 new images to replace the older, lower resolution 45. Catherine Bell's Classic from the JAG episode The Ghosts of Christmas Past has 55 better quality caps in place of the older 10.
 

2 May 2007:    New month, new gallery in Videocaptures as Kirsten Dunst joins our parade of headscarved beauties with 126 pictures of her wearing a Classic from the movie Wag the Dog. The scene is a bit dark and Kirsten's scarf is not high on the glamour scale, but it's a nice first step. Miss Dunst unfortunately missed out on a second headscarf scene in Mona Lisa Smile, as you can see in our The Mona Lisa Smile lost occasions special feature in the Various section. Too bad, I for one can't wait to see Kirsten headscarved again.
 

24 April 2007:    Last update for April, with 27 images of Amber Valletta from Hitch in Videocaptures. She wears a Kelly headscarf and sunglasses in a very brief scene. As a fashion model turned actress, Amber has worn her share of headscarves (she is the classic-wearing beauty on page 5 of the Webfinds gallery, picture w00079) but if she wants to be a Scarf Lady, she will have to get wrapped in movies or TV, like all the others!
 

6 April 2007:    Another swift update, this time for the Webfinds section which gains a new page with 16 new images found on the Internet. Apart from the usual model pictures, there are some new celebrities showing their proudly scarved heads: singer Alicia Keys wears a beautiful Kelly wrap while actresses Kate Hudson, Kristin Kreuk and Rebecca Gayheart wear rear ties. I'd be grateful if someone could help me identify the Classic-wearing beauty in picture w00119: she caught my eye so much I featured her in the Classic chapter of the A Matter of Styles special feature. I'm pretty sure I've seen her before but I can't remember where.
 

4 April 2007:    This month begins not with a new entry but with a couple of Videocaptures updates for actress Glenne Headly: the original 62 pictures from Mortal Thoughts are replaced with 235 better quality images, and the 40 pictures from Getting even with Dad are replaced with 330 new ones. Glenne's Classic and Kelly wraps deserved the treatment. One more headscarf scene from Scarf Lady status for her!
 

30 March 2007:    March is almost gone but there's always time for an update, no two updates to the Videocaptures section. Those are again from the Miss Marple series and the same story too, 4.50 from Paddington. The headscarved character is also the same, Lucy Eyelsbarrow, but one is the 1987 version starring Jill Meager as Lucy and the other is the 2004 production with Amanda Holden in the role. There are 44 pictures of Jill, in a Classic scarf and 156 of Amanda in a Kelly. It's a bit funny, because here as in Sleeping Murder the remake swaps Classics for Kellys. We'll see if the trend continues in future productions!
 

15 March 2007:    Time for a mid-month update, again from Agatha Christie's Marple: Sleeping Murder. Sophia Myles, although the leading lady, is not the only headscarf-wearing one in the TV movie. Helen Coker wears a nice Classic, and in Videocaptures we have 44 pictures of her.
 

3 March 2007:    March opens with some good headscarf scenes from... Sleeping Murder. Yes, you read well. But it's Agatha Christie's Marple: Sleeping Murder, the 2006 TV movie. Beautiful Sophia Myles plays the main character Gwenda, and has two nice Kelly headscarf scenes. Few when compared to the multiple scenes in the Geraldine Alexander version, but they're quite good and long with nice close-ups, and there are 295 pictures in Videocaptures to prove it. It will be interesting to see if the new Marple series will feature more headscarf scenes like the 1980's series.
 

25 February 2007:    Only one mid-month update this time, but a good one. With 48 pictures from The Tenant, Isabelle Adjani is one wrap away from the Scarf Lady award. She wears a nice and demure Classic in this scene.
 

9 February 2007:     February opens with some good headscarf scenes from Miss Marple: Sleeping Murder. Geraldine Alexander wears some great-looking classics and a peasant tie, with a wearing and a taking off scene. This movie is a must-see for all headscarf fans, and there are 360 pictures in Videocaptures to prove it.
 

31 January 2007:    Last update for this month, with the original 48 pictures of Kitty Winn from The Exorcist II: The Heretic replaced by 135 new images, in Videocaptures. There is a change to the Links section too, as the original Scarfmag.net site goes, sadly, offline and is replaced by a Flickr album. Looks like the site will continue in the new form, but we'll miss its original look and feel.
 

15 January 2007:     A quick update to the site, which now features a Guestbook for you visitors to leave messages and comments on. Also 150 new pictures of Megan Ward from the Dark Skies episode The Last Wave in Videocaptures. Megan's beautiful Kelly deserved the updated images.
 

12 January 2007:     Happy New Year 2007! We have some new stuff besides the usual Videocapture updates, which features 40 pictures of Hayley Mills in a Kelly headscarf from the movie Endless Night: in the Various section there's a new chapter titles A Matter of Styles, a small essay on headscarf styles (Kelly, Classic, Rear Tie), how they are tied, descriptions and variations on each theme. Mainly an excuse to show off some beautiful women in headscarves, but some women may find it inspirational. Enjoy!
 

21 December 2006:     Last update of the year, and as a Christmas present here are 60 new pictures of cute Disney princess Christy Carlson Romano wearing a lovely Kelly headscarf, from the Summerland episode Where there's a Will there's a Wave. See you all in the New Year 2007!
 

18 December 2006:     Another mid-month update, this time Kate Winslet's original 27 images for Hideous Kinky are replaced with 150 better quality pictures.
 

15 December 2006:    Some updating with Kate Fischer's gallery from Sirens remade, 60 new better quality pictures of her wearing a nice gypsy-like headscarf.
 

4 December 2006:    December begins with another Videocaptures update, with 420 images of Isabelle Adjani wearing some very nice classic headscarves from the movie Bon Voyage. Her scenes are nice and long, and she's simply fabulous!
 

26 November 2006:    Last update of the month, with 24 pictures of actress Lisa Jakub from the Due South episode Chicago Holiday (part 1). Lisa wears a typical Kelly headscarf and sunglasses disguise to fool good Mountie Benton Fraser. Played for laughs, but nice little scene.
 

15 November 2006:    Time for a mid-month update, with the original Julianne Moore pics from Far from Heaven replaced by better quality captures, 300 of them. Julianne's romantic look deserves them! Also, a much-needed disclaimer on the main page.
 

9 November 2006:    Small update in Videocaptures, with the original 10 pictures of Demi Moore from the Tales from the Crypt episode Dead Right replaced with 48 better quality images. The episode is set in the '50s and Demi wears a nice Kelly wrap.
 

3 November 2006:    November comes and with it a new update. In Videocaptures we have 78 pictures of Audrey Tautou from Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain. Fabuleux destin, et fabuleux foulard aussi, Audrey! She wears a really cute turban-like wrap. This young actress has been compared to Audrey Hepburn in more than one occasion, and we can only hope she will have some more nice headscarf scenes!
 

22 October 2006:    Another small update as the original 5 pictures of Kate Nelligan from Eye of the Needle are replaced with 185 better quality videocaptures. Ms Nelligan and her small but nice classic headscarf deserved it. It also appears I was mistaken into thinking that Imaginary Crimes featured Fairuza Balk's first headscarf scene, since the previous year (1993) she starred in the TV movie Murder in the Heartland in which she wore a classic wrap. Unfortunately I had no luck finding that movie.
 

12 October 2006:    Small update in the Videocaptures section, as the old pictures of Annabella Sciorra from the Sopranos episode Pine Barrens are replaced with 160 better-quality images. It seems I'm not the only one who thinks she looks great in her headscarf: if you go and visit the official Sopranos page on the HBO website, you'll find that in the Cast and Crew section she's pictured bare-headed under her character's name Gloria Trillo, while on the picture of her as actress Annabella Sciorra, she's headscarved as in this episode!
 

3 October 2006:    The new month begins quite well, with 136 pictures of Fairuza Balk from Imaginary Crimes. As far as I know, this is Fairuza's first headscarf scene, and it's a great one with her wearing a nice and elegant Kelly wrap.
 

28 September 2006:    Last update of the month, a small one as Kelly Lynch is introduced in the Videocaptures gallery with 9 pictures from Imaginary Crimes. Kelly wears, of course, a Kelly headscarf!
 

23 September 2006:    The Videocaptures section gets 200 new pictures of Ashley Judd from Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, wearing a peasant headscarf. One more scene and Ashley gets to be a Scarf Lady, too!
 

16 September 2006:    Another small update in Videocaptures, with 75 pictures of Jennifer Garner from the Alias episode There's only one Sydney Bristow, in a nice classic. Just another scene, Jennifer, and you're a Scarf Lady!
 

10 September 2006:    New update to the Videocaptures section with 48 pictures of Elizabeth Montgomery from the Bewitched episode Little Pitchers have big fears. The beautiful witch wears a nice classic, and watch out for June Lockhart in the background, wearing a Kelly. Too small for good caps of her alone, unfortunately.
 

1 September 2006:    This month marks the sixth anniversary of this site going online, so expect some more updates than usual! We begin with actress Mare Winningham being introduced in the Videocaptures section. In the TV serial The Thorn Birds she wears a classic, a Kelly, a pirate and a turban-like wrap and has a tying-on scene as well. 330 images of her, enjoy!
 

20 August 2006:    Another classic-themed update with 60 pictures of Linda Kozlowski from Crocodile Dundee in Videocaptures. The 1980s weren't the best of times for headscarves, but Linda has two nice scenes on her very first movie role. Nice one, Linda!
 

12 August 2006:    After the last Kelly wrap-related update, we have a nice classic as worn by Polly Adams in Miss Marple: The Murder at the Vicarage, 81 new pictures in Videocaptures. Enjoy!
 

21 July 2006:    We have another small update in Videocaptures with 30 images of Renée Zellweger from Bridget Jones's Diary, after her classic wrap in Me, Myself and Irene here she wears a Kelly. You're another headscarf scene away from becoming a Scarf Lady, Renée! Then we have another unknown Kelly-wrapped actress from A Bronx's Tale, 18 images of her (and another Kelly-wrapped unknown actress sitting in the car with her and other girls). Can anyone identify her?
 

9 July 2006:    I've decided to drop the policy of doing only one update a month. It makes little sense waiting a whole month to post only a handful of pictures, so monthly updates will be reserved for all-new, quality content.
This time in Videocaptures we have 35 pictures of Helena Michell from Miss Marple: At Bertram's Hotel, scenes are a little dark but she wears a nice classic. There are also 9 pictures of Julia Roberts from I Love Trouble, wearing a Kelly.
 

1 July 2006:    Big update this month with 16 new pictures in the Webfinds section, making for a whole new page. This seventh page has some headscarf-wearing celebrities too: we already have the likes of Claudia Schiffer, Audrey Hepburn and Linda Evangelista but the beauties gracing the Webfinds section now include Julianne Moore, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Yasmin Le Bon (Kelly-wrapped), Cindy Crawford (Kelly and classic), Elise Crombez (classic), Sharon Stone, Claire Danes, Christina Aguilera (pirate) and Bryce Dallas Howard (peasant).
Nice to see all those beautiful women properly headscarved. Fashion models like Yasmin, Cindy and Elise of course get to wear at least one headscarf in their careers, but actresses and singers are another matter.
On the Videocaptures section, Geena Davis takes home the Scarf Lady award with 90 images of her wearing a loose classic wrap in Stuart Little 2. Congratulations to Ms Davis!
 

14 June 2006:    Another mid-month update for the Videocaptures section, with 300 new images of Hayley Mills' headscarf scene from That Darn Cat! Nice classic wrap on a cute actress.
 

1 June 2006:    We begin the month with 64 brand new pictures of Sarah Jessica Parker from the Sex and the City episode To Market, To Market. Nice pirate wrap for Sarah. Next we have a full update of Jennifer Love Hewitt's pictures from The Audrey Hepburn Story: 306 pictures in all. For a TV movie about Audrey Hepburn, strangely enough she doesn't wear the trademark headwrap known mainly as "Kelly" but also as the "Audrey style", only two scenes in a peasant wrap, and yet she's pictured wearing the more glamorous style in promo pictures. To complete the update, 40 pictures of Frances Fisher still from The Audrey Hepburn Story, but she wears a classic.
 

27 May 2006:    I couldn't let May pass without correcting an issue. With 60 images from War and Peace Audrey Hepburn gets her Scarf Lady award. Only fitting for the actress who is rightfully considered by most the Scarf Lady and who has done a lot to popularize headscarf-wearing.
 

13 May 2006:    It's a bit unusual to have more than one update per month, but I wanted to replace the Sharon Stone vidcaps for A Different Loyalty. The first series came out badly, and didn't do justice to this great Scarf Lady and her great headscarf scenes.
 

2 May 2006:    Time for a classic wrap as we get 100 pictures of former Ye-Ye girl Andrea Parisy from the movie Le Petit Baigneur in the Videocaptures section. The 18 pictures of Helen Mirren from White Nights have also been replaced with 100 images of higher quality.
